Key Job Responsibilities
As a Safety & Personnel Specialist, you will coordinate agency-wide safety programs and ensure compliance with the Injury and Illness Prevention Program. Duties include:
- Investigating accidents, hazards, and exposures to prevent recurrence.
- Reviewing traffic control in construction and maintenance zones.
- Conducting on-site safety investigations and writing detailed reports.
- Providing guidance on CAL/OSHA laws and motor vehicle codes.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following education and experience standards:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 3 years of experience in employment and job safety administration.
- Equivalency: 12th-grade completion plus additional related experience (1 year of experience for 1 year of education) up to 4 years.
- License: A valid California driver’s license is required.
