Job Responsibilities

As an Umpire featured on Government Jobz, you will officiate games during weekday evenings and on Saturdays. Work hours typically range from 5 to 10 hours per week (maximum 28 hours). Duties include officiating Baseball, Softball, and T-Ball/Coach Pitch games with durations ranging from 1 to 2 hours.

Qualifications & Requirements

No prior officiating experience is required! Government Jobz encourages anyone who meets the following to apply:

• Must be at least 15 years of age.
• Knowledgeable in baseball and softball fundamentals.
• Ability to attend all mandatory training sessions and pass required exams.
• Physical ability to see/hear within normal ranges and stand for long periods.
• Must provide a clear Tuberculosis (TB) certificate signed by a physician.
• Willingness to undergo fingerprinting and a background check through the Department of Justice.
